Monthly Women’s Circle in Freshwater
Join us for a monthly gathering of women sharing in sisterhood.
It is a nourishing night of rest, relaxation, soul-sharing, connection, inner reflection - as well as grounding back into ourselves and nature’s rhythms.
If you haven't been to a women's circle before, it is a beautiful, welcoming event - come along and experience the special energy and magic that arises when women come together to intentionally be present and supportive of themselves and each other.
The theme for each month’s circle is based on connecting to nature’s rhythms - ie bringing an awareness of the energy of where we are in the seasonal wheel of the year, the lunar phase, our own life season, and for some of us, our menstrual cycle.
First timers are always welcome, bookings are essential.
How the event runs:
We'll be sitting in circle, and will start with a short grounding meditation, followed by a candle-lighting ceremony to call ourselves fully present.
I will give a brief discussion around the theme, and invite you to reflect on what has been arising for you. The theme is designed to be an anchor for inner reflection, insight, and an opportunity to re-frame or set new intentions. We will then share in a talking bowl circle - a beautiful process for deep listening and insight, both to your own inner wisdom and to each other. We end with an intention-setting process for the month ahead.
It is gentle and comfortable, and you can come as you are and participate in a way that is right for you.

Cultural acknowledgment:
I acknowledge that this circle is held on unceded Aboriginal land. I acknowledge and pay my respects to the Saltwater People as the traditional custodians of the land on which this circle gathers, and to the First Nations people and Elders of this land. I honour the deep cultural knowledge and responsibilities carried by the First Nations women and Elders of this land.
Women across cultures have been gathering in circle since ancient times. I am an Australian woman with Scottish and Irish roots, trained in a Women’s Mysteries school with pan-cultural teachings and Celtic influences. As such, that is the lens through which I share and hold this circle - woven together with the influence and diversity that each woman present in the circle brings. In other words, each circle is a co-creation with the women present, and is held in such a way that we welcome and honour the beautiful diversity of each of our cultures, language, variations and traditions, and respect and honour the traditional custodians and wisdom keepers of this land that we gather on.
I also want to acknowledge that you may have heard of women’s circles as Moon Lodge or Red Tent - these names are from cultures other than my own, so I simply refer to our circle as women’s circle or sister circle.
With gratitude and reverence for all the ways women come together in beauty and healed sisterhood.
