About the Course

1 Giant Mind 3-Day Learn Meditation Course

This personalised course runs in three 90-minute sessions over three consecutive days, where you will:

  • Learn how to activate the body’s rest and relaxation response with an effortless meditation technique - the 1 Giant Mind Being Meditation

  • Start to experience results from the first session, with benefits continuing to unfold with ongoing practice

  • Refine the meditation technique so that you can be confident you are practicing correctly and experiencing results

  • Create a daily meditation routine of your own - the key to experiencing the full benefits of meditation

  • Continue to be supported with free ongoing follow up as you integrate the practice into your life

About the Technique

There are many types of meditation techniques. The 1 Giant Mind Being Meditation that you will learn in this course is a ‘Being’ technique, also known as a transcending technique. This is a straightforward mental process that uses a mantra thought silently in the mind to activate the relaxation response. There’s no need to try to concentrate, stop thinking or visualise, which makes it very achievable if you are one of the many people who don’t think they can meditate - I guarantee that everyone will be able to learn.

This meditation is a modernisation of an approach that has been practiced for thousands of years, originating in India. It was developed based on the Vedic meditation tradition. It is well-established knowledge that has been made very relevant to us today in the Western world. It is not religious, and open to people of all backgrounds and levels of experience.

The process that you will learn in the course automatically activates the rest and relaxation response and allows your awareness to sink beneath the surface activity of the mind into deeper states of awareness.

The meditative state experienced is a deeply restful state of consciousness beyond your thoughts, feelings, stresses, and fears - simply being. The two main things this does is allow you to process and release accumulated stress & fatigue, & to become re-connected with a deeper sense of yourself that can be so easily blocked out by the stress, fears, and day-to-day demands we face.

After a 20-minute meditation with this technique, my students commonly report feeling calm, rested, peaceful, focussed, and energised. The ideal amount of time to practice this technique is 20 minutes twice a day; this may sound like a lot initially, but the course will empower you to be able to achieve this (I promise!)

The more you can practice regularly on an ongoing basis, the more you can see the positive effects on how you feel and respond in your day to day life - such as feeling less stressed, less irritated and reactive, happier, more energised, a greater sense of wellbeing, better capacity for focus and problem-solving, being able to be more present and connected in your relationships, and the capacity to make choices in the face of challenges and demands, rather than just reacting to them.

Once you’ve learnt, you’ll be able to practice this technique almost anywhere, anytime, without needing to be guided, go to classes, or plug in.

You’ll also be able to follow up with me as you continue to meditate on your own to discuss your experience and any questions that arise over time.

Why Practice a Being Technique

 

Deep rest.

This meditation gives deep rest and releases fatigue. My students commonly report feeling more energised, rested and recharged after a meditation.

Release stress.

This technique releases stress, including accumulated stress. With regular practice, meditation can improve how we respond to stressors and demands, training the mind to maintain a more calm, steady state of awareness, even in the face of demands, rather than getting as easily caught up in stress reactions and unhelpful thought patterns.

Meditators often report feeling calmer, more composed, and less reactive.

Too much stress for too long is a major disruptor of the body’s normal functions, including sleep, learning, memory, attention, and the immune system. Through reducing stress, meditation can have a significant impact on health and wellbeing.

Self-awareness.
